Rangan Gupta

My name is Rangan Gupta. I come from India and have been living in the UK since 2007. I've been dabbling at art for a long time, as early as my secondary school days. But London and the UK opened up opportunities to join art groups and I learnt a lot in the process. My teacher Nelson Ferreira has taught me everything that I know today. Most of my art is colourful. I love vibrant colours and textures. I draw inspiration for my art from nature and my surroundings. Since I was born and raised in India, there will always be a cultural influence from that side of the world in my art especially the painting of the Sikh man and the ladies in sarees. Water colours, gel gouache and acrylics are my go to medium for any artwork. And most of the merchandise (cards, tote bags) are home printed/made. Other than art, I work as a software architect full time with Salesforce Ltd.
