Mixed Media with Tim Nash
On Saturday 13th April, Tim Nash held a Mixed Media workshop for us and those who attended enjoyed learning and using a variety of processes.
Feedback comments included:
Last Saturday was great using different materials and getting very messy. The finished result was quite different from my usual style so it was good to try something different. Tim was a good teacher relaxed clearly showing each process so we all ended up with a presentable piece of work (although it still needs some work to complete it.)
I thought Tim was a brilliant teacher. We all completed a picture, in the allotted time, having learnt how to do at least seven different stages and opening up an entirely new way of constructing a picture. I felt really inspired and I do hope he will be able to come again!
Tim Nash's workshop was a real shot in the arm, full of innovative ideas and constructive ways to move painting into new territories; meanwhile he stressed that it was a free way to explore possibilities with various mediums and textures, and the results we produced in our day were original and exciting. It is so worthwhile to be able to have full day tuition on our Saturdays - we can take in so much of value on the subject, coming freshly to it in the morning and with the afternoon to round it off.
