I have recently retired from a varied career having worked for British Telecom purchasing Test Equipment and more recently as an Administrator at a local Primary School. Since retiring I have been embracing my creative side and have been exploring new areas of art.
My other interests are walking in the wonderful countryside in our area where, incidentally, I often collect items for my printing process. I also enjoy gardening and reading.
I am an organic artist, inspired by nature, using items found in nature, stencils, stamps and everyday objects to make patterns for my acrylic mixed media abstracts and watercolour pieces.
These pieces are made on a variety of surfaces including watercolour paper, rice and deli paper.
I love added collage elements and hand inking to my work.
I am in addition a crafter of hand-bound journals and sketchbooks which offer a variety of covers of both paper and fabric and stitching options.
