Robert Marchant B.Sc. (Bob)
Bob didn’t enjoy art at school and opted for a career as an engineer. However, being a practical person, one day he decided to have a go at oil painting. The results were disappointing so he enrolled in an evening class and things took off from there. These days, Bob paints mostly with acrylics but likes to try different mediums and has dabbled with photography, linocuts, dry point etching, mosaics, stained glass, marquetry and even blacksmithing. Bob is always on the lookout for a new subject or a different way of portraying an old one.
Although he is a Moonraker, Bob has lived in Oxfordshire for more than 35 years. He is a member of Lechlade and Faringdon Art Societies and exhibits locally.
