Community Art Competition 2024
As part of our 60th celebrations we are looking forward to introducing a Community Art Competition.
Anyone in the region with creative skills is invited to enter a work of art to celebrate Faringdon Art Society’s 60th anniversary, with a public vote to decide who wins the generous offer from Editor Lou Guthrie of a front cover on The Advertiser magazine!
The theme is a celebration of ‘60’, and artwork will be expected to cover this theme in as wide and creative way as possible. Artwork media is not limited, but works are to be portrait orientation, not more than 500cm wide and hangable.
Works will be exhibited in Old Town Hall, Faringdon over the weekend of 14 and 15 September this year for the public to visit and cast their votes. There are two age categories: 16-19 years and 20 years or more. Both winners will receive a £60 GreatArt (greatart.co.uk) voucher and their work will be shown at the 2024 Annual Exhibition. One of these winners will be chosen for the front cover of the October 2024 issue of The Advertiser.
