Helen Flinders
Helen graduated from the University of the West of England with an art degree in Ceramic Three-Dimensional Design. After travelling abroad for a year she qualified as a teacher and has since worked as a professional artist in schools, art galleries and museums as well as from her studio.She has a wealth of experience in passing on her skills and passion for the subject to learners of all ages and so co-ordinates and leads workshops for adults in recreational and business settings.
She developed a passion for riding and drawing horses from an early age and now specialize in equestrian art. She creates equine art commissions and other art work, mostly in acrylic but also using a variety of mediums. Her work has been exhibited in the Victoria & Albert Museum, Devizes Museum & Art Gallery, Appleby Castle, together with local open studios events. Past work has included metal sculptures, painted murals and digital media created to enhance reception areas, board rooms and refectory areas for corporate and educational environments. She welcomes private commissions.
